Window Seat: About Window Seat

Welcome to my site. I originally came from the beautiful islands of the Philippines. I am now living in the United States and has since considered it home. However, my heart still belongs to those little archipelago which I used to call home.

Because I miss my homeland so far away, I am dedicating this site to everything I know from my perspective as a Filipino American. Just like any other immigrant, I love both countries, but I still long for the country and its people where I was born, raised and educated.

Mamang Sorbetero - Celeste Legaspi

The title translates to "The Ice Cream Man", which reminds me of my father, a retired chief engineer of the Magnolia Dairy Products Plant, a division of San Miguel Corporation. Celeste Legaspi, a famous Filipino singer and actress and daughter of a National Artist in the Philippines, wrote and performed this delightful song.
